What level do your roleplay at? (Main Event)
Sample Roleplay:
The scene opens up to a video package starring Chris Jericho. Jericho is standing on the turbuckles with his armstretched embracing the crowds cheers and feeling every second of their emotions. Suddenly "Down with the Sickness" plays as the video redirects to last week when Kennedy beat down Jericho from behind. The sick and twisted smile of Kennedy is focused upon as every match between him and JEricho are ran through. Every time Kennedy comming out on top with his hand raised and gracing the camera with that twisted smile again. The package turns to Kennedy giving Jericho a submission move and his pain is shown through the screams. Blood trickles down Jerichos face as the package ends suddenly. The screen fades and opens back up to show a single spotlight shining down on a dark figure. The dark silohette lifts his arm in the air and a microphone is dropped from the rafters. By now we all know who it is, Mr. Kennedy.
Kennedy:
Mic check, 1 .. 2. Testing, 1 .. 2. Is this thing on?
Kennedy taps it and hears the echos bouncing off the walls. Another light is shown from the front of him to reveal that he's adorned in all black. From his dress shoes to his button up T-shirt and over coat.
Kennedy:
It all started years ago when an up and commer started making noise in NHBWO. Nobody thought twice about this young kid comming through the ranks like a bat out of hell. Nobody gave him the time of day. They never thought that he would one day become the World Heavyweight Champion. Let me just run down this mans accomplishments. World Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion, World Heavyweight Champion. This man has doen it all and beat everyone, except for one person... me.
Kennedy laughs and a screen to the left lights up taking up 1/3rd of the background and extends the length of your TV screen. A picture of Vince McMahon is show with his ever so famous smile. Kennedy looks at the picture and begins to speak.
Kennedy:
The past.
Alot can be said from the times before some of the roster here at SNME were even thought of. This man brought the roster of old a new hope. A glimpse at success, and even hired the one man that everyone still loves today, Jericho. Vince seen what others didn't see in this young man. He knew he had talent as soon as Jerichos blood was signed on that dotted line. The heart and soul of this up and commer came out like a bat out of hell. None of the roster knew what was going on and where this kid came from. The heart, the soul, the passion oozed from every oraface of Jericho and it showed by his dedication to the company. This section of the past will be forever in the history and in our memories, for this was the best time in Jerichos illustrious career and he owed it all to one man, McMahon.
If I could build a time machine and go back, I'd attend every show that had Jericho on the card. I'd take notes and watch with amazement as the Lion Tamer would pull off another impressive victory. Just picture this..
"A small arena of an up and comming NHBWO holds a mere 5,000 people. In that crowd is a sea of Jericho shirts. Children laughing, women oogling, guys jealous. It's the perfect atmosphere for the Iatola of Rock N' Rolla! Suddenly his entrance music plays and the crowd goes estatic. People on their feet, cheering and losing their voices. He comes out with a thingyy gring on his face and enters the ring. All those people, love or hate, now only have respect for the talent that he has. He climbs up on the turnbuckle and embraces the roar. His heart grows twice it's size and he hops down and prepares for his match. The emotions going through his body is unimaginable and he's ready for another night of brutality"
It's the high time of his career and his lavishes every moment.
The lights goes out and Vince McMahons pictures fades into darkness. The center of the screen lights up and shows a picture of Shawn Micahels. thingyy grin, dressed in an armani suit. The spotlight comes back on over the shadows and reveal Kennedy standing to the left of the picture.
Kennedy:
The present.
Wrestler turned buisness man. When NHBWO self destructed, it left it's roster in awe. They had no place to go, no place to turn. Their families were starving and the wrestlers needed somewhere to earn their lives back. So HBK built his own company. He called it, Saturday Nights Main Event. HBK spent months recruiting. He called every home phone and cell phone from the East Coast all the way to the West Coast. He searched high and low and finally came up with a roster of unimaginable talent. In the mix, was Chris Jericho. Again he rose from the ashes and begin his journey from the bottom to the top again. Going against the top stars in our sport, including Triple H.
"Chris Jericho was a man on a mission. His one goal was to obtain the most convenant prize in our buisness, the World Heavyweight Championship. Me and him had some hellacious matches and it was an honor to face him." -Triple H.
With a new crowd and a new atmosphere, Jericho had to re-establish himself. He put together new moves and busted his ass three times as hard, just to please the fans and get back his respect. Nobody knew how long this company would last and Jericho was beginning to burn himself out from all the politics and travel. His body just wasn't the same as it used to be and it was showing in more and more matches. But, the patriot that he is, he would not take a break and continued his path along greatness.
Then, out of the shadows arised a new star. A new talent came out from nowhere. Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy, just like Jericho started blazing through matches just like Jericho did, having sensational matches with people like Roy, Triple H, Goldberg etc. Jericho heard the talks behind stage about this new superstar and had to find out first hand what he was made out. So Jericho and Kennedy finally bumped heads and had a series of matches against each other. unfortunatly for Jericho, Kennedy came out on top in each match and tried to bury the legacy of Jericho. Battered and broken, Jericho didn't think he could ever bounce back. He started slumping. His matches were lacklusters to say the least. His body ached, his mentalilty was drained. But yet, he refused to take a break. A long streak for Jericho began to occur. Winning here and there and losing alot more. until finally, Jericho had that fire lit under his belt again when he found out he was facing Kennedy at WrestleFest. All of a sudden, the Jericho of old stepped up his game and is now on the path to WrestleFest with nothing but vengeance on his mind. But what's that leave in store for Kennedy?
Again, the lights go out and HBKs picture fades into darkness. On the right side of our screen the picture of Kennedy in all black has appeared. A wicked laugh is sent bouncing off the walls and into yoru eardrums as the spotlight once again centers on Kennedy standing to the left of the picture.
Kennedy:
The future.
After comming back to SNME, people said that I lost my edge. People said that I've lost my touch and that I probably would never be back at the same level I once was. Well I have news for everyone who doubted me. Yours doubts wouldn't be the first, and they definatly wouldn't be the last. Whether you like it or not, I'm the future of this buisness, and I'm going into WF to make a statement. There's rumours going around saying that this could be Jerichos last match. Saying that he's had enough of it and doesn't want to do it anymore. Well I say boo hoo. Suck it up! Wrestling is the most up and down sport that you'll ever encounter. It takes alot of patience, integrety, and balls to stay with it. Jericho, I can understand that everyone needs a break, but to quit all together is utter nonsense.
I'm going into this knowing that this will probably be your best match ever Jericho, and you know what? I'm loving every second of it. When we faced off before it was nothing but half asses moves and one sided matches. I tried lighting the fire under your ass, but it didn't seem to work. Well big guy, it seems something finally sparked and you're ready to come after me one last time. But the more I think about it, for me to be the future, I need that World Heavyweight Championship around my waist. And if it means that I have to put you into retirement, then so be it. But Jericho, just because this match may be your last, I'm not just going out there and laying on my back for you to go out on top. Hell no! Our match is for a shot at that title, and I'm letting nothing stand in my way.
Jericho, there comes a point in every mans life where he reaches a crossroads and the sign in the center reads "Greatness or Self".
The greatness path is the path us athletes walk every day we get into that squared circle and are forever burned into the brains of the fans that love or hate us. They come to shows and watch us give everything we got just to entertain them. The love us and worship our abilities. They look up to us as role models when their young, and when they older were the men they wish they could be. We're all imitated but were never duplicated. There's a heavy price we all pay. Families, relationships, where are we going to lay our head the next night while only making $50 a match. But what drives us is the chance to achieve greatness. We all have a chance to do it and the lucky few succeed in doing so.
The self path is the path we walk when the pressure is just too great for one person to take. From experiance, I've taken that path. I've broken down several times, but that thought of never achieveing greatness killed my soul and tore up my mind. I had the itch and I came back.
Jericho, we all know the path you walk, and the path that you created behind you was the stepping stones for many young talents, including myself. You have no idea how much of an honor it is to be facing you at our sports biggest stage. But what you must understand is that there's a huge difference between honor and getting what you want. No matter how much I respect you, I wouldn't think twice about stabbing you in the back to get what I want. And that's been proven in the past few weeks.
At WrestleFest, there will be blood spilled and tears will fall. A single hand will be raised and the path to destiny will be laid out before one individual. The lights will shine down as if Gods warm embrace is covering his body. This is the path we walk, and these are the choices we make. And on wrestlings grandest stage, Jericho, I will move on and win the Heavyweight Championship. I'm the future. It's my dream, It's my destiny.
The lights go black as the picture of Kennedy remains lit up in the background. To the left of the picture in the dark area the SNME washes across the screen leaving the image of Kennedy in our minds.
